    2018-2019 Tryout Information

The Brownlee Lookouts will be hosting tryouts for the 2018-2019 year! Youth tryouts (10-14) will be held in mid-July thru the end of July. High school aged tryouts will be held in late July through early August.

Our middle school aged teams have enjoyed a ton of success this spring and early summer, and our High School aged teams are off to a fantastic start in the first month of their season.

Our organization puts a priority on year-round player development that rivals anyone. If you are looking for a program that hosts offseason workouts for a couple months leading up to the high school season, this is NOT the program for you. We are looking for players who want to take their game to the next level, and work hard to accomplish their goals each and every day, and take advantage of the resources and opportunities we have available for our players. If you play for us and put the work in, you will develop and will get better.

We are one of the region’s most longstanding organizations, placing over 350 players into college programs at all levels, from the OAC to the SEC and everywhere in between. We have a full-time college marketing coordinator, and our program has connections nationally at all levels.

Our showcase aged teams play a national schedule in events such as the Midwest Prospect League, Dynamic World Series, Music City Classic, and Amateur Baseball Championships to name a few. We plan on taking teams to Atlanta next summer as well for the Perfect Game WWBA national championships at 16u and 17u. "Getting looks" from college coaches will never be an issue in our program. Our 17u teams in the summer of 2017 were seen by more than 150 schools between our games at tournaments and organizational showcase that we hold. If you play for us, you will be seen.

All of our players are individual cases. We do not believe in a one size fits all model for setting up players for success. Every player needs a specific plan for their development, a specific plan for which colleges they need to be targeting (based on academic and athletic requirements and personal preferences), and a specific plan for which showcases and camps they need to attend.

Fortunately, with the number of players we have successfully placed around the nation at the collegiate level, we are very familiar with how to maximize both the development and exposure that each and every player in our program get.

Don't let distance be a factor in playing for the Lookouts. We have players from around the state, as well as from Michigan and Pennsylvania. If you cannot make the tryout times after we post them, we will offer personal tryouts as needed.

Register for tryouts below, and become your own personal success story.

Best of the to all teams, coaches, and players the rest of this summer. Look forward to seeing you at tryouts.

    The Brownlee Lookouts

One of the midwest's premier baseball organizations and proud franchise partners with the Diamond League!

"I am very pleased to write this letter as a vote of confidence in Paul Brownlee and the Brownlee Lookouts baseball organization.

I have grown to know Paul and his organization very well over the past twenty years.  As a former coach in Northeast Ohio and a believer in baseball I have a great deal of respect for what they are doing. Furthermore, the entire organization is well respected in the baseball community, locally and nationally.  What impresses me the most about Paul is his tireless work and desire to provide the absolute best baseball opportunity he can for a select group of young men each summer.

I have had players of my own who have played for Coach Brownlee and the Brownlee Lookouts so I know first-hand the type of impact that program has had on their development as players and young men. Year in and year out players are coming in and out of the organization and going on to be very strong student-athletes at the next level.  In my opinion Paul Brownlee and the Brownlee Lookouts organization are winners!"

Attention All Independent Teams and Coaches!

If you are an independent team or existing travel team manager and are interested in becoming a part of our well respected and long tenured Brownlee Lookouts program, please give Coach Brownlee a call, 330-807-2889, or send him an email,

There are many advantages of being part of our program rather than running your team independent of a big organization without a support system around you of people who have been doing this for decades. The Lookouts program is always looking to accept new teams, however this isn't for everyone. We expect you to have the same work ethic, talent level, and drive and will to get better as the entire organization.

If the Brownlee Lookout organization seems like the right one for you, please do not hesitate to contact us!
